Titre: Sunday December 1st: who wants to play? And What?
Posté par: LarrxX le 21 novembre 2013 à 14:24
So who's available on december 1st, and what would you want to play?

I could master Paranoia, Unknown Armies or Don't Rest Your Head. I could probably even try out Spirit of the Century (http://www.evilhat.com/home/spirit-of-the-century-2/) if I have the time to read it and prepare it thouroughly (which I would if I knew you guys were interested).

Any takers? Any other propositions?

I'd like to try Spirit of the century. But the other games you suggested suit me too.

Available too. (I'm not much into Unknown armies & Unrest your head, but the 2 others are fine for me)
[Edit : err... made a mistake, not available that day :/]

Harg not available, I will have to work this week end, Why? 'cause, one  agent from Algeria will come and stay at Rennes this week end before we'll go on big meeting in Paris the week after. My job will be driving this guy during week end and show him some places in Britany... May be I would have handshaks on afternoon...

Sorry guys

What does that mean? I'm not sure I understand...

I'm free on Sunday 1st! Spirit of the Century doesn't really seem to be my kind of thing, but then again I can be flexible, so I'll follow the majority!

Yes missing some words... If I would come, it will be great to have some handshake to say "hello" (hello hello like a famous Beatles' song) ...
But , you're right, better have  "kiss for the girls" (like another famous song)...

So if I'm not mistaken we have: Hraka, Lafeek and Lazybelle for sunday.

What would you guys want to play?

I haven't had time to really go into Spirit of the Century, so I won't be ready to master it for sunday, sorry... You can choose anything you want from the Bazaar  (http://www.ascreb.org/forum/smf/index.php/topic,3275.0.html)by the way

I do not have any preferences, although I would like to avoid anything using the d100 system (I plain suck at those).

I'll be mastering Paranoia tomorrow. Sorry Hraka, it uses a D100... but that's going to be the least of your problems  >:D

I actually found some nice pregenerated characters, but the sheets use the latest edition's system so you'll be rolling D20s.

See how much the Computer loves you and wants you to be happy Citizen?

Ok 2pm tomorow :) How long will it last? All afternoon and all evening, part of the evening...only the afternoon? (not that it much matters, I'm free). If we play into the evening what shall we do for food? Everyone brings their own thing? See you tomorow!

Okay Citizens. As promised by your Friend Computer, here are your results for le Mandatory Bonus Duty Determination Test 88-9B. Each section's "perfect" score is 30 points.

Citizen Carr-R-EME

Citizen Mote-R-MTH

Citizen Cath-R-SIS

On a more personal note, I'd like to say that, even though I'm not 100% satisfied with yesterday's game, I feel it's a good start for our English speaking group. It was a nice change from the regular games I'm used to.

Finally, on a side note: Am I the only one to find it funny that Hraka's British accent is more pronounced than Lazybelle's? :D

My accent, such as it is, tends to wander around the globe (a bit like this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MaMso75ddb8), only I tend to stay in the northern hemisphere). So when it goes through any particular region I kind of overdo it to compensate.
I actually attempted to channel this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5OB8EYKXAys&t=17) and this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0mQaIMYIvYU) at times, but I failed miserably. Motormouth was way too quiet for that name. :(

Yeah it was nice. I was missing English practice (I think I spoke more yesterday than in all of my English "lessons" this year).

You're right, Hraka's got a bloody accent. At least he has a localized (event though shifting) accent, unlike me.

Haha! True ^^ I would love to try another game soon! I enjoyed the game even though I feel that I didn't do enough, but I've played two games where I havn't been able to create my character and I find those more difficult because I don't "know" the character as well, do you know what I mean? But I would definately play it again, I like the style! I just need to be more paranoid....

I can't believe I had the lowest score on happiness and team leader!!! Evil Computer... I mean the Computer is never wrong!

By the way, you all speak lovely English! It was a pleasure to my ears :) I've been dying to play in English for aaages! Next time I'll do better (in terms of game play, I think my English was ok ^^)

Don't worry about your gameplay Belle, you did good. It was my fault putting you and Lafeek to sleep while Hraka roamed around on his own for so mong.

You all played your part :)

And I understand perfectly when you say that you didn't "get" your character. It's the main caveat of playing pregenerated characters: you have to figure out what the character is like and how it should be polayed, adapt yourself to it instead of playing it as you want. But creating characters with the players is time consuming and barely worth it when played in a one-shot. I'll try mastering a game with fats and easy character creation next time, like Don't Rest Your Head maybe.

Stay tuned!
